What is a driveline motor?
Driveline motor refers to the transmission system motor, which is a key component used to drive the vehicle in electric vehicles (EV) or hybrid electric vehicles (HEV/PHEV). Driveline motor is the part that directly converts electrical energy into mechanical energy and determines the performance indicators of electric vehicles. It usually consists of a drive motor (DM) and a drive motor controller (MCU) cooling system, and is electrically and thermally connected to other systems of the vehicle through high and low voltage wiring harnesses and cooling pipelines. The vehicle controller sends instructions to the motor controller through the CAN network based on accelerator pedal, brake pedal, gear and other signals to adjust the torque output of the drive motor in real time to achieve idling, acceleration, energy recovery and other functions of the vehicle.
